By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Use & Disclaimer (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the website.
EDUCATIONAL & INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES
Information provided through the Mindful Misfits website, blog, resources, social media, downloads, and other publicly available materials is intended for general informational and educational purposes.
Website content is not individualized medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, educational, financial, or other professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for individualized assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or professional services.
Information about ADHD, executive functioning, neurodivergence, mental health, relationships, education, workplace functioning, or other topics is provided for general educational purposes and may not apply to every individual or situation.
NO PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP THROUGH WEBSITE USE
Visiting this website, reading its content, following Mindful Misfits on social media, downloading publicly available resources, submitting a general inquiry, clicking a link, or otherwise interacting with publicly available content does not by itself establish a therapist-client, coaching, consulting, or supervision relationship.
A professional relationship begins only after the applicable onboarding process, agreements, informed consent when applicable, eligibility requirements, and other requirements for the selected service have been completed and the appropriate provider or Mindful Misfits has agreed to provide the service.
Submitting an inquiry or requesting an appointment does not guarantee acceptance, availability, or establishment of a professional relationship.
THERAPY SERVICES
THERAPY SCHEDULING, RECORDS & CLINICAL INFORMATION
Mindful Misfits provides information and access to clinical mental health services offered by independently licensed mental health professionals.
Therapy is a licensed healthcare service and is separate from ADHD coaching, consulting, training, and other non-clinical services.
Therapy may include assessment, diagnosis when appropriate, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and treatment of mental health symptoms or disorders.
Megan Huston, LPCC, LMHC provides therapy to eligible clients physically located in jurisdictions where she is authorized to practice, including Ohio and Florida.
Sylvester M. Huston III, LISW-S provides therapy to eligible clients physically located in jurisdictions where he is authorized to practice, including Ohio.
Each clinician is individually responsible for providing services within the scope of their professional license and applicable laws, regulations, ethical requirements, payer requirements, and professional standards.
Therapy availability, insurance participation, scheduling, eligibility, fees, and service options may vary by clinician and may change.
The Mindful Misfits website is not a clinical client portal and should not be used to submit therapy intake information, detailed mental health information, protected health information, insurance information, clinical documentation, or other confidential clinical records.
Therapy-related services are administered through the clinical systems used by the applicable clinician, including SimplePractice and/or Headway, as applicable.
These systems may be used for functions such as:
Therapy scheduling
Intake and informed-consent documentation
Clinical questionnaires and assessments
Insurance and billing information
Payment processing
Clinical documentation and records
Secure client communications
Other therapy-related administrative or clinical processes
Individuals seeking therapy will be directed to the appropriate clinical platform and onboarding process.
Existing therapy clients should use the communication methods provided by their treating clinician or clinical platform for confidential clinical matters rather than submitting clinical information through the general Mindful Misfits website, website forms, or general business email.
Use of SimplePractice or Headway may also be subject to the applicable platform's terms, privacy practices, and policies.
ADHD COACHING
ADHD coaching offered through Mindful Misfits is a non-clinical, goal-oriented service focused on practical strategies, skill development, executive functioning, accountability, and related coaching goals.
Coaching may address areas such as:
Executive functioning
Organization
Planning and prioritization
Time management
Task initiation
Routines and systems
Accountability
Goal development and follow-through
Independence and skill development
Understanding ADHD in everyday life
Support for parents, caregivers, or partners of individuals with ADHD or neurodivergence
ADHD coaching is not psychotherapy.
Coaching does not include mental health diagnosis, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, or treatment of mental health disorders and should not be considered a substitute for appropriate medical, psychological, psychiatric, or mental health treatment.
Participation in ADHD coaching does not establish a therapist-client relationship, even when the coach is separately licensed as a mental health professional.
If concerns arise that fall outside the appropriate scope of coaching, Mindful Misfits may recommend that coaching be modified, paused, or discontinued and that the individual seek services from an appropriate healthcare, mental health, educational, or other professional.
COACHING INVOLVING MINORS
Mindful Misfits may offer ADHD coaching involving children and adolescents.
A parent or legal guardian is expected to complete applicable inquiries, registration, scheduling, agreements, payment arrangements, and onboarding requirements on behalf of a minor unless another process is specifically authorized by Mindful Misfits.
Parent or guardian involvement may be incorporated into coaching based on the age of the participant, coaching goals, service structure, and professional judgment of the coach.
Coaching involving a minor remains a non-clinical service and does not establish a therapist-client relationship with the minor, parent, guardian, or family.
Parents and guardians should not submit unnecessary medical, mental health, educational, or other sensitive records through general website forms or communications.
CONSULTING, TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
Mindful Misfits provides educational, strategic, and advisory services that may include professional consultation, organizational consulting, workshops, trainings, and professional education.
These services may be provided to schools, educators, mental health and helping professionals, workplaces, organizations, leadership teams, community groups, and other individuals or entities seeking education or guidance related to ADHD, executive functioning, neurodivergence, or related areas within the scope of services offered by Mindful Misfits.
Consulting, training, and professional education do not constitute psychotherapy, mental health diagnosis, individualized mental health treatment, legal advice, or other healthcare services.
These services do not establish a therapist-client relationship between Mindful Misfits or its providers and an organization, employee, student, client, patient, participant, member, or other individual.
Professionals remain responsible for their own professional judgment, decisions, services, documentation, ethical obligations, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and professional standards.
LISW-S TRAINING SUPERVISION
Mindful Misfits may provide LISW-S training supervision through an appropriately licensed and qualified Ohio social work supervisor.
Training supervision is a professional supervision service intended to support eligible social workers in professional development and, when applicable requirements are satisfied, progress toward independent social work licensure in Ohio.
Participation in training supervision does not guarantee licensure, approval of supervision hours, employment advancement, examination success, or any other professional outcome.
Supervisees are responsible for understanding and satisfying applicable Ohio licensure requirements, maintaining required records, accurately tracking supervision hours, and ensuring that their employment, practice setting, and supervision arrangements meet applicable requirements.
Training supervision may be distinct from work, administrative, or clinical supervision required by an employer or practice setting. A training supervisor does not automatically assume responsibility for a supervisee's employer-based clinical oversight, organizational responsibilities, or client care unless expressly established through an applicable professional arrangement.
Supervisees must protect client confidentiality and should avoid submitting unnecessary identifying client information through website forms, general email, scheduling fields, or other channels not designated for confidential information.
Additional expectations, responsibilities, fees, documentation requirements, cancellation policies, and terms applicable to supervision may be established through a separate supervision agreement.
SCHEDULING, FORMS, AGREEMENTS & PAYMENTS
Coaching, consulting, training, professional education, and supervision services may be scheduled, purchased, invoiced, or administered through the Mindful Misfits website or third-party scheduling, payment, communication, or business platforms.
Individuals or organizations may be required to complete applicable forms, agreements, payment information, eligibility information, or other documentation before services begin.
Specific services may also be governed by a separate:
Coaching Agreement
Consulting Services Agreement
Training agreement or proposal
Statement of work
Supervision Agreement
Group Supervision Agreement
Payment or package terms
Other written service-specific agreement
If a service-specific written agreement conflicts with these general website Terms regarding that particular service, the applicable service-specific agreement will govern the engagement to the extent of the conflict.
FEES, PACKAGES & PAYMENT
Fees, packages, memberships, consultation rates, training rates, supervision rates, and other pricing displayed on the website are subject to change.
Applicable pricing and payment requirements will be communicated before or during the applicable purchase or onboarding process.
Purchases may be subject to additional cancellation, rescheduling, expiration, refund, or payment terms established for the applicable service or package.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, purchasing a service or package does not guarantee a particular result or outcome.
EMERGENCIES & CRISIS SITUATIONS
Mindful Misfits is not an emergency or crisis-response service.
The website, general business email, voicemail, coaching communications, consulting communications, supervision communications, website forms, and other routine communication methods may not be monitored continuously or reviewed immediately.
If you or another person is experiencing an immediate medical or psychiatric emergency, contact emergency services available in your location, call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or go to the nearest emergency department.
Existing therapy clients should follow the emergency and crisis procedures provided by their treating clinician as part of their clinical informed-consent process.
Coaching, consulting, training, and supervision services should not be used as substitutes for emergency, crisis, medical, or mental health services.
NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
Mindful Misfits does not guarantee any particular therapeutic, coaching, educational, professional, organizational, licensure, financial, academic, workplace, or other outcome.
Results vary depending on individual or organizational circumstances, participation, implementation, goals, environment, external factors, and other circumstances outside the control of Mindful Misfits.
Testimonials, examples, educational materials, case examples, descriptions of services, or descriptions of potential outcomes should not be interpreted as promises or guarantees of individual or organizational results.
INSURANCE
Insurance information provided through this website is intended for general informational purposes and may change.
Participation with an insurance company or network does not guarantee that a particular clinician, service, appointment, diagnosis, or procedure will be covered under an individual's specific insurance plan.
Therapy clients are responsible for understanding their individual insurance benefits, coverage, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, authorization requirements, and other financial responsibilities.
ADHD coaching, consulting, training, professional education, and LISW-S training supervision are separate from therapy and should not be assumed to be reimbursable healthcare services or covered by health insurance.
